3 Ways to Spice Up Your Basic Winged Eyeliners: Your All Time Eyeliner Guide!

If you are looking for ways to enhance your eyes then there are many different ways to do this. One way is by applying a great winged eyeliner. This is a great look that you can wear during any season as long as you have the right color. There are several different colors you can choose from to get this look and no matter what you choose it will make your eyes stand out and if you have nice eyes already they will appear even more so.

Eyeliner is a good accessory for any makeup look. It helps you achieve sexy, glamorous, cute, and mysterious looks. It can be applied to the upper or lower eyelids as you wish. It always makes us look more attractive. Correct application can make your eye makeup last longer for a party or wedding by enhancing your eyes. Besides that you might also consider changing the color of liner from black to maroon, brown or deep blue.

Winged eyeliners are a great option for just about everyone. Women new to makeup can apply it easily, women who prefer not to leave the house without 100% of their makeup applied have a great option as well. Winged Eyeliner is also perfect for those who love to play around with looks on a day to day basis because of how easy it is to switch up.

Some women may choose not to do this often because they want to avoid the hassle that comes along with doing your makeup daily. With the right products, that hassle can be avoided or reduced dramatically though and that’s what I’m here today to talk about! Below are some simple steps with helpful tips on how to spice up your basic winged eyeliner.

1. Semi-shimmer Liner

Semi-shimmer liners look great on their own, but I wanted to take things a step further and turn the liner into a glittery liquid eyeliner. When it comes to choosing a liquid liner, you want to avoid pencils and liquid liners with fiber in them as they won’t work well for this project. Applied to lids, shimmery (and metallic) liners usually come out as a very subtle wash of color.

This is because when applied to the skin, a lot of their pigment gets lost in the process of transferring from bottle to skin. It’s why almost every eyeshadow color looks darker in its pan than it actually is when applied—the pigments are thicker and more concentrated.

When I was first learning how to do my winged eyeliner, semi-shimmer liners were really helpful in getting the shape down. Whenever I was having trouble with the basic winged liner, such as pressing too hard and creating a thick line instead of a thin, graphic one; I would go for something with more shine and depth. That way it looked thicker in the photo than on my actual eyes, making it easier for me to gauge where I needed to go back or add more liner along the way.

2. Glitter Liner

The next step for your basic winged eyeliner is the glitter liner. This will give it that extra oomph and make it more badass. A glitter liner can be worn on its own, or as a top coat over your matte black liner. As an option, there are also liquid glitter liners which you can apply over the regular one.

Start by applying glitter to your liner and wear it off-center. Although it may look slightly retro, it is an easy way to make your eyes shine. However, if you’re not a fan of wearing glitter or going for a disco look, tone down the glitz and apply bright shades of colors on your eyelids.

Swiping a glitter liner for a more subtle glam look is always a great idea! The trick is to not use too much here. There are two ways to do this: one is by applying separate eye shadows, and the other is to swipe on the glitter eyeliner directly over the winged liner.

3. Graphic liner

Creating graphic liner with a winged eyeliner is an incredibly easy way to spruce up your look. The design is really all about the eyeliner itself. If you like to keep things simple, and add a little more drama to your eyes, graphic liners are for you.

When you have your classic, black winged eyeliner, you can make it different by adding a graphic liner. This is achieved by using a product other than pencil to draw straight lines on the eyelids.

Graphic liners are a fun twist to the regular winged liner. The graphic line can be either thick and bold or thin and delicate. The line will usually connect at the corner of the eye with an elongated point that points upward, then it will continue to twist or turn downwards into a triangle shape.
